Snow

Posted on Tuesday, November 30th, 2010

Dave!Despite living with snowy winters most of my life, I can never seem to get used to that first snowfall.

Eventually I become accustomed the weather and it doesn't bother me that much. But today?

In the morning when going to work...

DAVETOON: Lil' Dave screaming because snow is piled on his car in the morning...

At night when going back home...

DAVETOON: Lil' Dave screaming because snow is piled on his car at night...

I hate it. I hate it. I hate it. I hate it. I hate it.

Why can't they make no-stick snow coatings for cars?

They do. It’s called a garage.

  2. This is why I live in Florida!

    UGH! I know!!
Eventually, the snow isn’t a big deal, but today it was 25 degrees here (this morning, I mean) and it’s enough to make me want to cry!
Our snow’s only been flurries, so far. I’m already eager for a snow day! Hey! We have hot chocolate!

  4. Sarah says:

I don’t know why but I love Lil Dave’s face today.

“Why can’t they make no-stick snow coatings for cars?”

    They do: Garages.

Do you have any idea how many jobs would be lost if that technology was offered?! I swear it’s all a conspiracy.

  6. Snow happens so rarely here, and in such small quantities, that I miss it. Terribly.

I know. I know. I’ll shut up now.

We had a bit of moisture the other night that was so light it was invisible to the naked eye.. yet it still froze all the doors on both mini vans closed.

  8. We drove up to Sedona (about and hour and a half north of Phoenix) at the weekend and got to see a snow flurry. We never see snow so it was all very exciting.

Another thing to consider: You know those douches that cover their car with a cloth cover? Pick one up for less than $50 and keep a small snow shovel in the office or the trunk of your car when you’re not at home. Shovel heavy snow off the top and shake off the rest. Added bonus, less defrosting to worry about… Just don’t be an idiot like me and try ripping off the cover without shovelling the insane amount of snow off of it first… I ripped the cover at the seams but I was off to work in less than 10 minutes..

  10. I’ve thought about using that Rain-X stuff you put on windshields on the entire care. Wondering if it would work to help all of the snow slide off.
