Dave!"Well, technically she was correct..."

"Technically, you're an idiot."

DAVETOON: It's Bad Monkey riding that horse so he can warn the British not to take our freedoms away by ringing those bells and making those warning shots!

If there's one universal truth you can count on, it's that anything... no matter how outrageously stupid... can be spun. Anything.

Yes,technically, she is an idiot. Not that this is news at all. The great question is WHY does ANYONE pay any attention to her? The short answer? They are BIGGER idiots than she is. Do you like all my caps? IDIOT! MORON! Many other terms that would be quite NSFW. Please let it end, please….

  2. She’s so crazy I can hardly deal with it. Technically we did tell those mean Brits to stuff it. But technically, Palin makes me cringe for all of humankind.

  3. Technically, I used to be a Palin supporter…..about up until the time she opened her mouth to accept the nomination to the Republican ticket.

Seriously….do we live in a world where everybody is expected to be able to remember and coherently talk about everything? If you don’t know the answer then just STFU. While I think a lot of people remember the story of Paul Revere, I’m sure that it isn’t stressed as much in Alaska as it is in Boston. I bet most people cannot talk intelligently about the Iditarod, but she could.

Bottom line: it’s ok to not answer a question…

    • Dave2 says:

Well, usually I would agree, but that’s one of the main reasons for her trip…

“SarahPAC is excited to announce the One Nation Tour! This Sunday, May 29th, Governor Palin and the SarahPAC team will begin a trip through our nation’s rich historical sites, starting from Washington, DC and going up through New England. The “One Nation Tour” is part of our new campaign to educate and energize Americans about our nation’s founding principles, in order to promote the Fundamental Restoration of America.”

If you’re going around “educating” people, it might behoove you to actually know what you’re talking about. Unless, of course, our nation’s “founding principles” is based on bullshitting your way out of a question when you’re too stupid to know the most basic concepts of what you’re talking about.

I have defended Sarah Palin a number of times, because I think that people are just waiting for her to make even the tiniest mistake (which everybody does from time to time) so they can attack her. Like, if she would have said “He rode around saying ‘The British are coming!’ to warn people about an attack from England.” Now, technically, he didn’t say that… he said “The Regulars are coming!” and that was just a small part of what happened… but it’s the same basic concept, and it would be forgivable that she repeated the legend rather than the actual history. BUT… HOLY CRAP… she was JUST at The Old North Church! Even if Alaskans AREN’T taught about the “One if by land, two if by sea” story and the whole “Paul Revere’s ride” thing… wasn’t she paying attention when she was WHERE IT HAPPENED? There’s a frickin’ plaque BOLTED TO THE CHURCH explaining it! I mean, come on!! If she’s touring historic spots to educate people, shouldn’t she at least make minimal effort to educate herself? Maybe she can’t read? Or maybe she doesn’t give a crap, and this whole “educational tour” is just a joke.

And THIS is what drives me nuts about Sarah Palin. She’s obviously one of the stupidest people on earth and has no idea what she’s talking about, preferring to shovel bullshit instead of facts… so how can her supporters believe that her political statements would be any different?

  4. martymankins says:

You know what’s funny when this story came out yesterday, there were several Palin fanboy bloggers that stated what she said was factually true, giving her a pass on getting part of the story correct, even if she bumbled her way through it.

While one of the bloggers actually produced some type of valid text (even if he did link to a pro-Palin web site to do it)

    http://legalinsurrection.blogspot.com/2011/06/so-now-all-these-people-will-apologize.html

it’s still mind numbing to note that if you know what you are talking about, and you are on a history tour of the US (as you so greatly noted above) and you claim to be a public speaker (and make a hefty fee from each one), you shouldn’t be bumbling your way through a statement when you know damn well that the press will torture you for it.

It’s almost as if she is doing this on purpose so her sheep-like supporters will come to her public defense (and vote for her when she decides to throw her tin foil hat into the 2012 ring)

I’m still enjoying the intelligence we have in the White House, thank you very much.

  5. Suebob says:

She was not technically correct. Or factually correct. Or correct at all. She made some shit up out of the vapor in her little botoxed head and now refuses to admit it. She is so full of crap that she believes her own crap. We get the politicians we deserve. And I’m starting to think we deserve these idiots, the cruel nasty little Palins and Bachmanns and Ryans of the world.
