Crazy

Posted on Wednesday, May 5th, 2010

Dave!Every once in a while don't you wish you could say "screw the rules" and do something quasi-insane just to break free from the mundane confines of everyday life? Stop the world and do something a little bit crazy so you can feel alive again? Not care what anybody else thinks and do something odd and disconcerting just for the heck of it? Ignore what you're supposed to do and instead do what you want to do?

Yeah, me neither.

DAVETOON: Lil' Dave in a Pink Bear Hat

Well, except for today.

Today that was all I could think about. Guess it's a good thing I'm flying away for the weekend.

Yeah…that’s pretty much what I hope for every day. Well, that and a lightsaber.

  2. Poppy says:

We should tell them it’s your birthday so you can get up on a chair, swing your invisible lasso, and yell “yeeeeehawwww!”

    That’d be fun.

  3. Finn says:

You could have worn a pretty pair of lacy underwear… you’d have been the only one who knew.

    • Dave2 says:

What would be the fun in that! I want to display my craziness for all to see!

Then again… I probably would look awesome in a pretty pair of lacy underwear…

  4. muskrat says:

Wearing a pink bear on your head is crazy? I call that “Thursday.”

    • Dave2 says:

Yes, but you live in the progressive metropolis of Atlanta where everybody can wear pink bear hats!

Ahem… yeah… well, I’m sure you could in SOME neighborhoods of Atlanta!

  5. shari says:

If you wear a bear’s head hat and have a rifle across the back window of your rig, you’re just another bear-huntin’ redneck around here. You’ll have to try harder to stand out. 🙂

    • Dave2 says:

Sure. If it were a real bear. But I’m wearing a PINK bear hat made from ACRYLIC! That’s just an invitation for an ass-kicking here in “Bear-Huntin’ Redneckland!”

  6. Tracy Lynn says:

Great, dude. Now I want a bear hat.

  7. Once I did that. I ran away to New Jersey for True Love. No one told me that the fairy tale came with a prince who would eventually turn into a lazy bastard with a complete distate for a)housework and b)acting pleasant.

Now I’m a single mom, and every day when I get bored by the drudgery and the tawdriness of everyday life, I start to fantasize about just going crazy and running away – then as I smack my face I remind myself that’s how this whole thing started.

Just in case you were looking for some glass-half-empty type to chime in with a “we’re all doomed” sort of thought…

  8. Sybil Law says:

Is it crazy that sometimes I actually go ahead and DO something nuts?
If so, I don’t wanna be sane.

  9. God damn, if that isn’t the coolest Dave ‘Toon I’ve seen in a while. This made my day!

  10. claire says:

I’ve wanted a bear hat for over a year since I saw one at Target. Alas, it was for babies and they didn’t have any bigger sizes.

Ideally, I want a fuzzy hat with ears, no face on it. Was thinking dark brown like my hair, but blue like my fave teddybear would be cool too. I lurve my fuzzy hoodies and wear them often, 1 black, 1 blue. Closest I can get to my bear hat for now, but I’m keeping my eyes open!
