Lately it seems that I am entirely out of the loop on just about everything. I don't know if it's because I'm just so incredibly busy, or I've just become indifferent to the world around me. Probably a little of both.
Never was this more vividly clear than when I got an email telling me that the fourth season of Scrubs is due to be released on October 10th... and I didn't even know that season three had been released. This may seem like a petty thing to be upset about, except I have been waiting for the third season to drop for YEARS now. All because it has one of the best episodes of comedy/drama ever seen on television. The episode is called "My Screw-Up" and features a return of guest-star Brendan Fraser as Dr. Cox's best friend and ex-brother-in-law...
Don't let the fact that Tara Reid also guest stars, fool you. That this show did not win an Emmy for best writing is what finally confirmed that the Emmy Awards are a complete sham, and I've never trusted them since. Soooooo... I know this is late, but if you have not seen My Screw-Up, you owe it to yourself to hunt it down and do so. Buy Scrubs the Complete Third Season set (it's all good), or rent Disc 2 from Netflix or Blockbuster or whatever... just see it.
In other news... let this serve as fair warning that I will be guest-posting over at Hilly's blog this weekend. Do I know what I am going to write about yet? No. I don't write my entries ahead of time, so what happens is your guess as well as mine. All I do know is that the thought of Lil' Dave meeting up with Lil' Snackie is a very, very dangerous idea that is begging to be explored...
Heaven help us. Heaven help us all.

Oh my God ! The fourth season of Scrubs will be released from October. What can I do ? I didn’t see the first !
An advice for your “guest-posting” : Spontaneity, Dave, SPONTANEITY !
But you know what ? You shouldn’t follow my advice. Why ? Because I am writing at 00:55 am and the worst : nothing’s forcing me to add a comment on your blog at this time !
Tell me how/why I do that ? For this moment, I can’t understood !!! 😉
That’s exactly what happened to me with NewsRadio! I happened to see season 4 at Amazon and then had to order both.
And Laurence, I usually post to Blogography at 3 AM, and you forget-something IS making you post at odd hours. The power of Dave compels you!
Scrubs is a great show, but I can’t even keep track of what night of the week it’s on, let alone when the DVDs come out.
Oh, please. Who wouldn’t do great with Hilly? She is so welcoming and hospitable and warm. I LOVE HER!
And also? The Brendan episodes of Scrubs? BEST. EVER. Not that I have a thing for Brendan like you do for Liz, and would watch “Bedazzled” with you while eating Fiesta Cheesy Potatoes ALL DAY LONG or anything.
I love how angry lil Snackie looks 😉
That’s one of the best fucking Scrubs episodes ever. When they get the right mix of melancholy and humor, it’s absolutely perfect.
Love me some Scrubs, and I’ve seen that episode and it’s fabulous. Thank God the Comedy Channel carries it over here because the network that carries it puts it on at 11:30pm or some other ungodly hour when I’m sound asleep. And yet they air crap like The Simple Life during prime time.
And I get the advantage of posting to Blogography at the sane hour of 1:30 in the afternoon due to the time difference. I like that…
Laurence… Well, it doesn’t get any more spontaneous than waiting until Sunday and writing it up that day!
Frances… Now you make it sound as if I should be the subject of an exorcism! How cool is that! Or maybe it would be a “davercism?”
Yellojkt… Well, Season 3 is out RIGHT NOW, so you’re good to go! 🙂
Belinda… You. Have. Just. Described. My. Perfect. Day!
Hilly… Really? I actually thought she looked LESS angry than how she looks on YOUR blog! Whenever I see Snackiepoo on your site I get scared because she has that look as though she might wait until you fall asleep and then cut your penis off! Still… I am going to go out on a limb and say that Sunday is going to be something NEITHER of us expect!
Avitable… And there you have it. If you can’t trust such a glowing review by Avitable, who can you trust?
Mooselet… I’ll be sure to start posting at midnight, Brisbane time, so you won’t feel left out. 😀
What? All these comments and no-one has asked for a guest-blog visit to their own blog?
I want one! I want one!
Or maybe this is one of those cases where You. Just. Don’t. Ask. The. Pros. It’s an unwritten rule. Like if Tony Soprano came to town, you wouldn’t ask him to whack your nemesis at work. Pope visiting your town? You don’t ask him to give a sermon at your local church. You don’t ask Alan Greenspan to balance your checkbook, Mario Andretti to get you to work on time or ask Pierce Brosnan to take your wife out on a date.
“You don’t tug on Superman’s cape;
you don’t spit into the wind.
You don’t pull the mask of that ol’ Lone Ranger
and you don’t ask Dave to Guest Post on smalltime bloggeries.”
As I recall, the third season also had the Michael J. Fox episodes which were brilliant. But, you’re right, Fraser was so incredible in that episode. Seeing the handful of photographs image nearly brought me to tears. That was incredible. I need to buy it. I knew it was out, but have been too lazy. Heck we haven’t even opened our season 2 set yet.
scrubs rules.
Ha, love Toon Snackie. I’m just miffed I didn’t think to ask you first. Dammit!
That IS a great episode of Scrubs, too. One of my faves.
That is the best episode ever, and I’ve seen them ALL. Right up there with last year’s season finale of the Office.
I would like to go back to my comment. When I am beginning to wonder, I like trying to find an answer (to my question) !!! (That’s strange, I know !!!)
My conclusion :
I think Blogography is “The Ring” (The Lord Of The Rings).
Yes, Blogography is both treasure and threat like “The Ring”.
When we get near to “The Ring”, we are becoming slaves. (The word is too strong, but my english too poor. Sorry)
And the fact that you are a “guest-posting” confirms my theory. Yes, everybody wants a part of Blogography.
Now, if I am following my argument, I hope that I will not be transformed into Gollum !!! 😀
SCRUBS?!! THE BEST SHOW EVER ON TV!! BRENDAN FRASER?!! THE BEST ACTOR AND MOST BEAUTIFUL MAN EVER!!
Wayne-
The first rule of Blog Guest Club….there is no “blog guest club”.
The second rule of Blog Guest Club….less picking on the state of California ;).
I wish I knew what it was about Tara Reid that troubles me. Then I could get treatment for it.
NewsRadio is on DVD? I thought that was one of the best shows ever. I learn something good each time I visit Blogography.
Um and how great is it that it will be on every night soon??
I disagree with Hilly. More picking on the state of California. More! More!
That episode of Scrubs made me a little teary-eyed at the end. Plus he’s using a Holga on that episode. A freakin’ Holga!
Okay stalkerazzi here but I was Googling myself (sad, I know) and found this picture as the first image under “snackiepoo” and thought, “wait when did I get married to Lil Dave in a bathing suit?”
Good times….back to present day again.
Lil’ Dave is a bit formal when meeting new people… unlike myself who can barely be bothered to put on underwear. 🙂
