I returned home yesterday to find that both cats were waiting for me. Not just Jake, but Jenny as well. That almost never happens. Jenny prefers to wait and see if Jake doesn't get murdered after he bounds down the stairs to greet whomever is opening the door.
As expected, the cats are all over me all the time... perhaps afraid I'm going to disappear again...

It's nice to be home. It's nicer to be missed.

Until just recently I’ve been travelling close to 100 days a year, usually in 2 week increments. My 3 cats take the travel just fine, but boy do they cling to me like glue for about 24 hours after I return. 25 hours afterwards…. “eff that guy” is what I expect they say, unless it is treat time!
One plus though…..I swear they treat each other just a smidge better than they did before I left, so it’s a steady increase of them getting along. Maybe they are always on an upward “nice” trend, and I’m too close to it to see, but it’s definitely a thing regardless.
I really need to start recording videos for them when I leave!
