New shifter cables and $650 in repairs and I'm back on the road.
Looks like I can start bitching about how much I hate my car again...
But not today.
A lot of people have a lot bigger problems.
Fortunately, there's something we can all do to help.

We just dropped more than that on our eldest’s car’s new alternator. It’s 20 years old, so I guess we should be happy the car runs.
This is the second post I have read about car troubles with a thinly disguised ‘people have worse problems’.
It is ok to be upset about stuff happening in your life, as long as you are thinking about others at the same time. That is all that matters.
