Uhhhh... yeah... my home state is in a bit of trouble just now...
Can't we ship this stuff to someplace where they really need it?

I think they need it in Florida or someplace, been like a drowned rat all day.
Forget about Georgia – ship it over here! Unless our government gets all our water infrastructure projects completed on time and/or we get a cyclone, we’re going to run out of water by the end of next year. We’re “asked” to keep our use to 140 litres of water per person per day (that’s roughly 35 gallons). We’ll gladly take it off your hands.
I hope Lil’ Dave is wearing waterproofs – he’ll get trenchfoot otherwise. Glad you got home safely and hope you don’t have to go back out too soon. Its quite warm in London for the time of year… still damp and grey though!
Nice detail on the hair. It’s not all spikey and to the side like normal.
I heard on the news last night that Washington is under emergency declaration and thought about emailing you to see how you were but then again I thought – nah, he’s getting thousands of emails and might as well not rain down on him by electronic means.
Maybe it’s karma for “Sunny”, the laid back Sun who’s been doing wine commercials for some company in Washington, claiming that it doesn’t rain all the time where he’s at, making all this fantastic wine.
Forget Georgia, check out NC.
The entire state is in ‘Severe’ and half the state is in ‘Exceptional’. Durham city has 59 days of water left.
Wow. I think you should just stay home, put on Veronica Mars on DVD, and drink hot chocolate.
Hmm. Maybe that’s what I’ll do!
Thanks for the offer. We’ll gladly take it here in Georgia. I’ll just send you a half-million gallon bucket, you can fill it up and send it back. M’kay?
Can’t we ship this stuff to someplace where they really need it?
Or save it for next summer when the elected officials tell us not to water our lawns and to take shorter showers?
Yes, please ship it down here to GA! We need all the water we can get!
Yeah, that’s all I’ve been hearing about on the news this morning. You guys are famous!
Ok, maybe not something to be excited about.
it’s pretty brutal, that’s for sure. it looks like it is tapering off but they say more to come. (please, mother nature, don’t rain on sunday! i need good weather!)
Oh dear! Stay in, stay safe Dave!
We could take some more of it here in So Cal, too. Hope those rain clouds migrate our way soon so that you can get a break. I’m starting to think they named the state Washington because you get washed down so often.
I propose building giant irrigation pipes across this great land of ours, creating jobs, water slides, and car washes. I will use this as a political platform to take over the world.
Or, maybe not.
Can I come visit? You know how jealous I am of rain and snow and stuff….
You guys still got snow in ‘the Snatch’ or did it melt like ours?
Australia is seeing the worst drought we’ve had.
Brisbane where I live has had us on level 5 water restrictions for ages now. I’ve not washed my car in over 12 months, I’ve not watered plants in that time either… our gardens are all overgrown with weeds because nothing else will stay alive. But the worst of it – they’re now telling us not to flush so much.
How dreadful that you’re flooded and we’re desperately saving every drop.
RMB
Yeah, join the club.
At least the rain sort-of let up today. They shut down portions of the freeway and various major intersections in Portland yesterday.
Fun Fun Fun.
And yet…it still amazes me that I live in FREAKING OREGON, and people STILL have no idea how to drive in the rain!!! Gah!!
You need some floaties!!!
Just push it south. We’ll take it.
