Today some crazy bitch started screaming at me in the parking lot of the mini-mart as I was running in to buy a bag of Sun Chips and a King-Size Reeses for breakfast. I have no idea why, and didn't really care enough to find out. She was gone when I left, and that's all that mattered.
Now I'm kind of regretting that she didn't wait for me to come out and attack me or something, because then I would have had something to blog about tonight. As it is, I've got nothing. Just work. And maybe a few television shows off the TiVo to catch up on.
And speaking of television... now that Veronica Mars has been cancelled, it's tough for me to decide what my favorite show on television should be. Since I haven't seen any of the new shows they'll be running this Fall, I'm beginning to think it might be Ugly Betty. The show never stops surprising me...
Holy shit! It's Fugly Davy!
Seriously, just when you think they've run out of ways to keep the series interesting, they hit you with another shock. And, unlike shows like Lost, the mysteries on Betty are wrapped up before they become boring, and they then move on to something even more interesting. The season finale dropped more than a couple of bombshells that have me more interested in the show than ever.
Don't ask me how they've managed to trap me into liking it, because I have no idea. Usually I run away from crap like this... RUN LIKE THE WIND!
Okay, maybe not "run"... but I definitely would change the channel with my remote.
UPDATE: TV Shows On DVD is reporting that the complete first season of Ugly Betty will be released on August 21.

I think I’ve just developed a full-on Dave crush now that I’ve seen that Fugly Davy toon.
It’s my favorite so far…not kidding :).
Now that the Gilmore Girls and Veronica have been canceled, I’ve got nothing to watch. I’m going to have to find some serial on the tube to watch besides the disappointing R$ches. Maybe I’ll get on the Ugly Betty bandwagon like you. I too would normally run from the show, and I have, but you’ve peeked my interest. What could possibly be happening on that show? Hopefully it will be on Netflix soon.
Okay, for starters, the fact that you like Ugly Betty puts you in the top 4% of cool people on the internet who talk about their favorite shows.
There are so many great characters on this show:
-gay son
-transgendered male who is hottie Rebecca Romijn
-BETTY!
-Betty’s sister
-Vanessa Williams and her outfits
-The evil receptionist and the
-gay assistant to Vanessa Williams
It is the hottest show of the year and the Emmy’s let them know.

Anyway, i love your blog. I’ve been reading it for months now, but this is the first time i gave a comment. =P
I love Ugly Betty too! And I don’t usually watch anything where I have to watch every week to keep up with the storyline, but I’ll do it for Ugly betty. And even though he tries not to, I know that my boyfriend loves it too!
I’ve replaced regular TV watching with reading blogs. I find it 1000 times more interesting. There are some exceptionally creative people nobody ever heard of out there!
I can’t figure out why I watch it either, it’s not really my type of show, but for some reason I catch it every time. Maybe it’s got some sort of subliminal hypnotic power or something… it’s the braces!
Hilly… Oddly enough, I think this is pretty close to what I looked like in High School.
Brandon… The show can be annoying at times because, at its heart, it’s just a soap opera… but it’s an incredibly good soap opera, with plenty of twists and turns to keep things interesting.
Suzy… Yep, you’re a “G”… which is what happens when you’ve signed up, but haven’t been rated yet. Sometimes it takes quite a while. Hands-down my favorite character is Vanessa Williams… so deliciously evil!
Aiko… Fixed! That will teach me to blog after a 16-hour work day.
Serap… And you DO have to watch every week to keep up with all the stuff going on, don’t you? Fortunately, I have TiVo to keep track of Betty so I don’t have to!
RW… I read blogs WHILE I watch television. It’s the best of both worlds.
Kyra… Not only is Betty NOT the kind of show I usually enjoy, but it’s usually the type of show I despise! Still, somehow it’s got me hooked. I wonder how long they can keep it going at such a frantic pace? I guess time will tell.
You should give Heroes another shot, and you should check out Supernatural. Season 2 of Supernatural was much better than the first one, and I’m hoping for even more improvement next season.

I must admit that at first Ugly Betty seemed like the stupidest thing a network exec has ever coughed up… so I didn’t watch. But then! The previews started getting interesting, the clips I saw looked hilarious, and dammit I was kicking myself for not paying attention sooner because I’m a “watch the series from the beginning” kind of girl. So now I’m “patiently” waiting until August so that I can snap up the DVD’s and get on board!
There are two reasons to watch Ugly Betty: Salma Hayek’s boobs in HiDef.

Oh my goodness, I love UB. I thought that it would be the dumbest show on TV, but I think they led in to Grey’s with it and I was hooked. Now there is NO TV show that I watch every week, but I will log onto the shows site and watch bak episodes to catch up.
I’ve never heard of either show. So, if you’re in the top 4% of cool people on the Internet talking about your favorite shows, I now know exactly where I fall in the coolness spectrum. YIKES!

Yay! Ugly Betty was close to inching out Veronica as my favourite show this season, but the little blonde heroine love is strong with me, so she never did fully take over. Now that Veronica is gone the Betty love has taken over full force. (Why do I suddenly feel like I’m in an Archie comic book…)
Ugly Betty Dave TOTALLY ROCKS!
Fugly Davy is awesome! And so is Ugly Betty, it’s definitely one of the best new TV shows.
