  1. Mrs RW says:

I must live on Pluto (which, by the way no longer exits) because I totally do NOT get this post! (must be my age…)

  2. Hilly says:

I am glad someone else is happy about this….I am humming the Survivor theme song just waiting for it to begin…in an hour, argh!

  3. I have no idea what that means, but I also could never forgive someone who messed with my chickens.

  4. Rob says:

I watched that episode just because of that title.

  5. yellojkt says:

I’ll have to rely on you for Survivor updates. I’ve only watched the first season and the all-stars.

I’m an Amazing Race fan myself.

  6. Dave2 says:

Mrs. RW… The chickens quote is the title of the first episode of “Survivor” this season. Bad Monkey is a bit excited about that. The couch I bought used from a friend…

    Photo swiped from Urban Dictionary

Hilly… I hope this year is more interesting than the past couple of seasons! I’ve been bored. Bored. Bored. 🙁

Frances… Do NOT mess with a man’s chicken! That’s almost as bad as messing with a man’s automobile!

Rob… Though the chicken wrangling itself was kind of anti-climatic. I wanted some bitch-slapping handed out! 🙂

Yellojkt… Ooh. I probably won’t be blogging about “Survivor” though, because I never really have anything to say about it! Unless, of course, Elizabeth Hurley appears in a Celebrity Survivor!! 😀

  7. adena says:

    Let it be learned!

    Never screw w/ a man’s chickens!

    So Sayeth the Monkey!

  8. Mark says:

I do believe that “Survivor” jumped the shark with the All-Star cast. But, that’s my opinion and I’m usually wrong.

  9. Kyle I says:

That’s an excited monkey you’ve got there Dave. I think Tom Cruise has competition :p….just don’t let him near Katie Hol…I mean TomKat…or whatever name pop culture has assigned them/her/…ahhh!…whatever…

  10. EDDIE says:

You have a picture of Mr. Cruise jumping? Too funny.
Btw, are you waiting for Project Runway also?
    (London version, of course…)

  11. Laurence says:

    Oooooh, c’est beau !
More and more animated Lil Dave, I love that !

I saw that you made allusions to Tom Cruise. These images are famous ! But I didn’t see the reference to Survivor. This concept is adapted to France. It is “Koh Lanta” !

I don’t see the american version but french version is just unbearable. I would like to see american version !!! (I saw just a clip from the late show of David Letterman. But it was too short extract to make my own opinion).

I love the monkey who jumps… I know, I repeat myself… But it is so nice ! 🙂

  12. Kyra says:

I’m very excited about the new TV season. Does that make us all a little sad? Unfortunately, I just cannot get into the reality types of television. Everyone seems to enjoy them so much, and I just want to slap the people in it instead. So for me, I suppose it’s all about finding a new character on one of the drama-types of shows to lust after. So in that line :

“WoohoO! Let the TV season begin!”

Seems we have lots of contenders this season. 🙂

  13. Avitable says:

What starts today? I don’t think TV season starts until Monday when Studio 60 begins.

  14. Wayne Hall says:

Q: What’s the difference between erotic and kinky?

A: Erotic is using a feather; kinky is when you use the whole chicken.

  15. kapgar says:

Okay, thank you for clarifying the quote. I had no idea what you were referring to either. But, then again, I gave up on Survivor after All Stars. It’s all Amazing Race for me now!

  16. suze says:

    people still watch survivor?

  17. Eve says:

I’m not up on Survivor, but I’m excited for the Fall TV shows, too!

  18. Troy says:

Last nights Survivor was pretty good. Sadly a lot of the stereotypes were evident, though I think the Asians did really good (and were not stereotypical). Looks like this season might be interesting, though I also think that the tribes will be seperated for 3 or 4 episodes before they merge into two groups.

  19. jenny says:

I missed Survivor last night, but it seems like splitting up the teams by race is a sad attempt to drum up controversy for a show that’s past its prime.

On a different note, based on the amount of hair Suri Cruise has, I now suspect that her real father is Bad Monkey. But of course, the scientologists don’t believe in the sweet, tender love between a woman and a monkey, so they had to cover it up.

  20. Dave2 says:

Adena… Bad Monkey loves the chicken, what can I say? 🙂

Mark… That’s the opinion of most people… I actually think it jumped much earlier. But I am part of a “Survivor Fantasy League” which makes the show a lot more fun for me.

Kyle… Bad Monkey has feces-flinging issues that bother most women. Of course, there’s always the possibility that Katie might be into that, so I don’t presume to pass judgement!

Eddie… NO!!! THEY REPLACED THE SUBLIMELY PERFECT ELIZABETH HURLEY WITH KELLY OSBOURNE FOR “PROJECT CATWALK” AND I REFUSE TO WATCH!!! AAAAAAGGGGHH!!

Laurence… Bad Monkey is trying to quit smoking by using nicotine patches and Coke with Lime. This makes him a bit hyperactive, unfortunately! 🙂

Kyra… If it weren’t for the Survivor Fantasy League I’m a part of, I would have stopped watching the show long ago, so I know exactly what you mean. Reality burn-out is in overdrive!

Avitable… Well, that’s probably the first GOOD show to air, so I guess you’re right!

Wayne… Well that puts everything into perspective! Poor chicken. 🙂

Kapgar… I tried “Amazing Race” but ended up hating the show. The contestants are “ugly Americans” when they travel, and the hostile, demeaning, condescending, abusive, dumbass attitudes on the show are just too much. As somebody who loves to travel, all I see is a show that’s ruining our already damaged reputation for tourism in foreign lands.

Suze… Apparently. It still gets massive ratings!

Eve… There’s actually TOO MUCH I want to watch this year. That rarely happens, and is kind of scary. Of course, with my luck, most of the shows I like will be immdiately canceled, so then I can go back to my regular television schedule. 🙁

Troy… I, for one, am glad to see a show with some diversity. Sure they may have divided along racial lines, but when was the last time we saw a reality show that was so well represented? I am tired of the token characters they sprinkle in shows, and am glad to finally have some even footing.

Jenny… You are undoubtedly correct but, as I mentioned, at least it’s a chance to have a more diverse cast. Suri is a cute baby. Fuzzy, but cute! 😀

  21. kapgar says:

For the most part, I definitely agree with you. But, on occasion, you’ll find that one couple that is respectful, attempts to understand the culture and language despite the time constraints, and just tries to be good visitors. They are rare, but they exist. Usually only one couple per season. Those are the ones Katie and I wind up rooting for. Last season it was the “Hippies.” They really made a concerted effort to learn basic phrases and customs for each country they entered. Despite the long hair and ragged clothing, they did a good job of positively representing the U.S.A. At least, in our opinion they did.

  22. lspryszak says:

Thanks for explaining. I knew there was meaning there; I was just to dumb to find it. Only 1 more challenge on Project Runway…Let’s hear it for Michael, Laura, and Uli!

  23. Bre says:

I’m not sold yet on this season – the tribes are so very small, so they can’t have many big initial aliances/drama. Plus I find Exile Island boring. The chicken part made me laugh however!

  24. Bec says:

You lucky B*stards… Studio 60… in the New Year…. Veronica Mars Season 3? They haven’t finished playing season 2 yet… ll other shows… March ish… NO wonder people do the bad thind and download them! (Not, of course, that I am planning to do this…)

  25. SJ says:

I keep swearing I’m going to watch more mainstream TV. But I keep forgetting. I’m such a creature of habit.

Since my TV watching revolves around the Sci-Fi Channel, for me the new season started weeks ago. EXCEPT Battlestar Galactica – three more weeks!!!

  26. Belinda says:

Thank you for reminding me to START NAGGING HUSBAND ABOUT NEXT SPRING’S CHICKENS NOW!!!! If I don’t get him cracking on fixing up that chicken house and yard over the winter, then I won’t be able to order my chicks in the early spring like I WANTED TO THIS YEAR.

And next year, I will be healthy enough to enjoy watching them cluck around! Bok, bok!

  27. ChillyWilly says:

I’m hooked on the new show STUDIO 60. As I was watching it the other night, I knew it was Aaron Sorkin, but thought for a moment that it may have been David E. Kelly.

Haven’t seen much else yet, but hope to get caught up here this next week.

As always, Simpson and Family Guy are must watches.
