Robin

Posted on Monday, August 11th, 2014

Dave!I was very, very sad to hear that Robin Williams died today.

I first became obsessed with his comedic antics on Mork and Mindy... then followed his career right up through The Crazy Ones, a fantastic television show that had the good sense to reign him in a bit, which is always when he's at his best.

But there's one role that will forever cement Robin Williams as a favorite performer of mine... The Genie on Alladin...

You will most definitely be missed, sir.

I loved him as Genie. A role of his that will stand the test of time. It’s already 22 years old and still very much loved.

  2. I heard it on the radio as I was driving home from work and couldn’t believe what I was hearing. I was stunned. It was unlike any other celebrity death I’d known. It felt different and really struck a nerve with me. So very sad.

I too grew up watching Mork & Mindy even across the pond. Then came all the iconic movie roles over the years. He literally entertained my entire life. So sad that some who brought such joy to everyone had little of his own. So very sad indeed.
