Have you ever been tagged with a meme that you could swear you've done before... but can find no trace of it in your archives? Yeah, me too. Maybe it's just that, after two years of rambling on, I've talked about all this stuff at one time or another and it just seems that way.
Oh well. It's nice to get it all out in one place. Anthony, this one's for you:
Seven things I plan to do before I die...
Seven things I can do...
Seven things I can not do...
Seven things that I find really attractive about the opposite sex...
Seven things I say the most...
Seven Books I love...
Right about now, I'm suppose to be tagging a bunch of other people for this meme, but I've sworn not to do that anymore. That being said, doesn't this seem like a job for Chronic Listaholic? And I must admit to being curious as to how Karla, everybody's favorite Textpatriate would answer these questions.

Lightning was a great book, one of Koontz’s best. Quote is Clueless (it is sad I know that).
Oh dear. The responsibility weighs heavily upon me.
I will do my best to allay your curiosity…..oh the pressure!

Um Dave, I am assuming you have seen this? Liz Hurley’s bathing suit website?
I’ve been in the waters of the Aegean.
I plan to go back in three years and hopefully every year someday.
Dave, those are some of the best answers I’ve seen. Cheers. 😀
John, there is no reason to feel ashamed. Clueless is one of the finest movies of all time. Plus, the wonderfully skanky Brittany Murphy got her start there.
Dave, Dune? Now, I’ve never read it, so I can’t say. But the fact that Stink was tapped for a role in the movie is unforgivable to any title, whether it’s true to the book or not. Speaking of acting (or just simply people) one can’t endure. . .
The Elizabeth Hurley Beach Collection is totally bookmarked, and I have downloaded every single amazing photo from the site. I’ve got an entry written about it, but haven’t had time to put together a collage of images yet. Soon!
I must agree with Jerz about Clueless which is a classic! Too many good quotes in that one!
As for Dune… the book is a masterpiece that has never been done justice in a movie or television adaptation, and probably never will be. It’s just too rich with imagination to be condensed that way. That being said, I thought Sting did an okay job in the Lynch film, which was fairly well-done for what it is: a pale reflection of a remarkable book.
Clueless is a remake of Pride and Prejudice, you know. Which always makes it a bit more fun to watch, to see the similarities.
you know, i think that Clueless quote is in the top seven things i say the most. “Well there goes your social life.”
LoVe 4EVA! woo!
Thank goodness you tagged me! As soon as I saw it was a list, I scrolled right down in hopes … YES! I’ve been in a funk lately, and this is manna from Heaven for me.
OK, now I’m gonna go back and read YOUR lists.
P.S. Welcome home, mighty traveler!
If you plant the trees thick enough, it isn’t nearly as hard to be master of all you see as you might think.
Did you read Salmon of Doubt? There’s a story about a guy named Dave that you would enjoy.
Dave2, maybe it was the Fives meme that was niggling your memory. Some definite similarities with this one.
A Princess Of Mars was the very first SF book I read, at the age of 10. It played a huge role in defining my literary tastes. I still have a copy on my bookshelf.
I have thrown up in the waters of the Aegean. Does that count?
Karla,
I believe Clueless was a remake of Emma. When I saw the Gwyneth Paltrow movie version, I caught it right away. It almost made me want to read that book. But I’m sure there aren’t cahracters named Dionne, Elton, and Cher in the book, right?
“Logan and Veronica 4-Ever”
Hell, yeah!
But OMG, Veronica Mars is up against Lost this season… and I will now have to be home on Wednesdays to tape one and watch the other.
SO ANNOYED.
Mr Jerz,
Oh. Duh. Yeah.
Um, it’s been 10, no, 14 years since I graduated from college. Old age is my only excuse.
Holy crap, and I call(ed) myself an English major?
Can I have some (more) of that beer? Might as well kill my remaining brain cell, it don’t work so good no more.
