Dave!I really need to get some sleep one of these days.

This morning I finally finished going through the thousands of photo scans waiting to be approved. Most of what remained were pictures from when I was young, and that's always fun. It's interesting to see how so many things in my life haven't changed all that much, even from when I was a baby.

My adventures with toothpaste were not always tragic...

The reason I am terrified of clowns becomes clear once I saw the scary-ass clown doll I was given... DEMON EYES! IT HAS DEMON EYES!! KILL IT! KILLLLLL IIIIIT!

I don't know why I stopped wearing red suit jackets. They totally work for me...

That's a HUGE package you've got between your legs, Dave...

My what a BIG wick you have between your legs there, Dave...

Wow that's a MASSIVE hose you've got there, Dave...

My obsession with monkeys started at an early age...

And now I need to get working on a very long weekend before I have to fly out again next Tuesday.

Something tells me I am not going to get that sleep any time soon.

Isn’t it odd to see photos of yourself doing things you don’t remember doing?

    Yup, yup.

  2. Tug says:

The red suit coat is just a bonus, I love the red socks & bowtie!

  3. christie says:

    aaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

  4. Holy toothpaste picture! Footed-pajama cuteness!

    GREAT Photos Dave!!

I love when I come across people who post pics from their youth. I really like the one with you all dressed up in your little suit, complete with red jacket and matching red bow-tie. You even had the matching red socks. Yep, they totally work for you. ;)

  6. The patient says:

Wow, these pictures really do seem to explain a lot!

I was going to ask where you get them scanned but then you said it in the prior post. That’s what you get for reading in reverse chronological order: a lame comment.

  7. delmer says:

Nice photos. I always enjoy seeing photos of how others grew up.

One of the first toys I had was a chipmunk stuffed animal. He had eyes that made me uncomfortable. I’ll bet you he’s in a box at my sister’s someplace.

  8. i had that same monkey! (the one with you at christmas and in the second monkey photo.) man, i loved that damn thing.

these were fun photos…thanks for sharing…

  9. Robin says:

    Soooooo cute!
I had that same stuffed monkey as a child! Mine was named Chimpy.
    Great pics!

  10. Michelle M. says:

You remind me of little Ricky Ricardo in the red suit jacket photo.

At least your monkey isn’t picking his nose. He does look like he’s doing something naughty in the fist black and white photo, though…

  11. Karen says:

Hmmm. I had that same monkey too, the one with you on the couch, with the rubber banana in its hand. Carted that thing everywhere for years, then one day it just up and disappeared. Now I know where it ended up.

  12. Catherine says:

My favorite is the second to last.

  13. Sybil Law says:

GAH! Too much cuteness to love in these pictures!!!

  14. The Momshell says:

    Your childhood looks simply marvelous.

  15. Mickey Riccardi says:

My partner and I simply love ‘Lil Dave and Bad Monkey. Were you born in 1968 the year of the Earth Monkey ? What’s your zodiac sign ? Curious in El Paso, Texas
