Today as I was driving home, I stopped to let a little gangsta' cross the street. Well, he wasn't an actual gangsta', he was just dressed up in gangsta' attire with the over-sized T-shirt, over-sized pants, and a crooked baseball cap that I'm guessing still had the merchandising stickers on it. This was surprising to me, because I thought the whole "gangsta'-wear" fad for lil' crackers had gone out of style a couple years back... but there he was, running across the street in front of my car.
You can see where this is going...
In what can only be described as a Moment of Zen, his pants slid down to his knees before he got to the other side. Not missing a step, he pulled up his pants, then continued to hold them up as he ran down the sidewalk.
It's one of those things that you think you'd see all the time, but never actually see at all.
Miracles really do happen every day.

Wow, you really DID experience a little miracle! Every time I’m out with a bunch of those little dudes, I pray and pray that their pants fall down and yet, never!
I was watching Sean Kingston perform on So You Think You Can Dance the other week and he spent the entire performance walking with his legs slammed together so his pants wouldn’t slide off his ass. So effingucking dumb.
What? And you couldn’t turn the new video camera in your iPhone 3GS on him so that you could go for “Extreme Web-based Embarrassment”?
Would have been funnier if his pants had made him do the Superman Sprawl right there in the crosswalk. Just desserts for a fading fashion!
Ha! I wish I was rewarded with something like that everytime I stopped to let someone run across the street!
your page is messed up Dave…can’t read the text as it’s covered by the sideline.
I always wondered how they walked around with their pants off their ass and kept them up. It looks really uncomfortable!
Whenever I see such people, I can’t help but wonder how much willpower they must use every moment of every day just to keep their pants from falling down. Of course, I assume that it’s willpower that keeps them up, as they rarely have either the belt or the ass necessary to do the job.
So mentally tiring, though. They must sleep well at night.
I HOPE you are not going to hold your breath for “miracles” like that to happen during Bitchsterdam…
Hahahaha. I know I’m old and uncool, but for the life of me I don’t get the whole Hip Hop attire thing. Wearing pants six sizes too big with the ass hanging down around the knees…I…I don’t get it.
Hold onto that sweet little memory. It will get you through the rainy days. 🙂
At least he ran across. I love the ones where they saunter extremely slowly and give you that sideways smug look like “that’s right, you’re waiting for me and I’m gonna take my time” bullshit. At that point I want to run them over.
I’m with Colleen…for a couple of days now, your left sidebar has migrated to the middle of the page, covering your post. If it’s just our monitors, can you tell me how to fix this?
thank you for giving me the idea for the next super successful reality show hit television series
You see, each week, we take these contestants and..
[looks around conspiratorially]
wait a second. Are you trying to steal my idea?
I wish you’d gotten video!
I have that happen to me too. It’s second nature to be able to pull your pants up while you run!
