Every morning on the way to work I drive by a lilac bush that's stuck in a ditch. Despite her less than ideal location, she's a beautiful vision in purple that transcends her humble roots. It's a rather excellent metaphor for life I think.

The second shot in particular is great for me. I love the dots of yellow against the purple. Maybe under-exposing some and upping the saturation would make it even more striking.

Like another TT pic, I think these look so much like they are made of candy!
My camera is still fairly new, and I’m not sure exactly how to use it all yet… I thought it was an excellent suggestion to go back to the lilacs and give it another go with different exposures. Alas, the blooms are already turning brown, so I guess I’m stuck with what I’ve got.
