Mini

Posted on Saturday, May 30th, 2009

Dave!I am hanging out with my sister and family for the weekend. This is a good thing, because we mini golfed and stuff!

My foot. A golf club. A golf ball.A Mike's Hard Lemonade.
Ultimate golf combo!!

Dave declares mini-golf victory!
Declaring victory after a hole-in-one.

Hole #7: Tatoosh Meadows
TatOOOOOOsh! TatOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOsh!! Plus Fosters... it's Australian for beer!

Golfer Dave
I am so totally golfing here!

A couple of random things...

  • Even when mini-golfing drunk, I can still come in at two under par. That this is two under children's par doesn't bother me. Considering how much I've had to drink, I am totally operating at a children's brain capacity here*.
  • Cyndi Lauper came out with a new album last year and I didn't even know it. Recently discovered the single "Echo" and am in love with Cyndi now. How did somebody responsible for unleashing "Girl's Just Want to Have Fun" come up with something like this?
  • There is no step three.

And now, I must bid your adieu. I have to get up entirely too early tomorrow.

*Assuming the child in question was drunk.

Drunk by Foster’s= good. Drunk by 3 big cans of Foster’s Premium bitter= ME. I really need to stop this. Does drunk comment posting qualify as a cry for help?? Thanks spell check!!!

  2. Robin says:

I haven’t had Fosters in forever. Very jealous. 🙂

  3. Hilly says:

I love happy drunk Dave. I mean, I love them all but still…you know.

  4. Stacey says:

I suck at mini golf. Clearly it’s because I’ve always played sober.

  5. jenny says:

You weren’t in love with Cyndi Lauper until just now? How is that possible? She’s brilliant! And her version of Prince’s “When You Were Mine” is one of my all-time faves. But now I’m off to check out her new stuff…

  6. “And now, I must bid your adieu. I have to get up entirely too early tomorrow.”

    Another early tee time?

  7. yellojkt says:

I love Mike’s Hard Lemonade. And now I have a precedent for combining it with mini-golf.

  8. Sybil Law says:

    Foster’s – YUM!!!
Loving the pictures… And the story!! Good times!

  9. Christy says:

So, maybe being drunk when you play mini-golf is the secret? Because I usually play sober and I SUCK. I’ll have to give drunk golfing a whirl.

  10. whall says:

    We play Wii golf drunk.

    Wiiiiiiiii!

  11. Sarah says:

    Mini golfing drunk is awesome.

Mini golfing drunk in the middle of the night when the place is closed is even more awesome.

Until you have to explain what you are doing there to the cops.

  12. Eric says:

“there is no step 3” – spoken like a true mac whore. did you see the rip-off of that iMac commercial, i think it was for the iBrator (or equivalent name) – good stuff.

when i commented on The Creator, i forgot to add something important: “Sonofabitch, Harry!” and you gotta love his robot – that was some primo high-tech stuff for that age! almost rivaled “johnny 5… is alive!”

  13. Iron Fist says:

I never notice before, but the Dave Victory Pose is identical to the default Lil’ Dave pose.

  14. christie says:

I love mini-golf 🙂 Even though I’ve only played it twice… but it was fun.

    and cyndi Lauper rules 😀

  15. martymankins says:

I don’t remember the last time I went mini golfing. I do remember the last time I golfed 9 holes, though. And there was alcohol involved, too.

  16. karla says:

You look very tall here for some reason. I mean, beyond the fact that you ARE tall, you just look extra tall here. Is that the mini golf doing its thing?

  17. James says:

Fosters – Australian for beer we send overseas because it’s horrible 🙁

  18. I second that last comment. Your average Aussie won’t touch Fosters with a forty foot pole.
