Stoner

Posted on Tuesday, April 8th, 2008

Dave! The trip home was a thrill.*

I kept hoping that perhaps the turbulence and vibrations from my three flights would shake something loose...

Dave No Stone

Alas, no stone fell out. The little bastard is still stuck up my urinary system somewhere.

Sigh. Maybe tomorrow.

* And by "a thrill" I mean "unbelievably painful."

  1. Hilly Sue says:

I’m sorry you’re still in pain but it’s incredibly cute that Bad Monkey is checking your junk to see if the stone has passed, hahaha!

  2. Whit says:

I was going to make a joke about having it sucked out, but I wouldn’t want to make light of your ailment.

  3. Amanda says:

I’m sorry you’re in pain, but I particularly like that picture

  4. martin says:

I have heard that is one of the most painful things.Do you have to pee through a tea strainer to see when it comes out ?.

  5. ah mate that sounds horrible…

  6. I’m sure it’s truly painful for you. It’s pretty funny the way you present it, though, and I can’t help but laugh.

  7. Mr. Fabulous says:

    I am so sorry dude.

  8. DutchBitch says:

Yeah, maybe tomorrow and let’s hope (for your sake) it’s not TOO big… Ugh…

  9. turnbaby says:

I’m so sorry you are hurting and I hope it comes out soon.

So I hope you take it in the right vein that i find humor in your pain cause…..

that cartoon is making me laugh

    seriously —I can’t stop

  10. NYCWD says:

The perseverance of your stone astounds me.

Maybe its time to get a professional involved… like a Hoover.

  11. kapgar says:

Sorry to hear, Dave. And watch out for Bad Monkey. Looks like he wants to dive in. Scary.

  12. Avitable says:

Sigh. Okay, I’ll get on my rubber glove that goes to my shoulder and I’ll go in and get it, if you want. We’ll just have to go in rectally and circle back.

  13. Is there any way that they can take that fucking thing out? I heard about kidney stones, and how they can use ultrasound to break it apart to help it come out…Not sure if that would work in your case though.

  14. diane says:

Yikes!! That is one stubborn stone. 🙁 Flights almost always knock them out of me and my dad.
I hope it’s resovled soon…keep drinking as much water as you can stand!

  15. ajooja says:

I hope your pain disappears, but I love that graphic more than I’ll ever be able to describe. 🙂

  16. karla says:

I have noticed, throughout my life, that people are sometimes funniest when in great pain or sadness.

This cartoon today proves that. I think it’s my favorite Davetoon ever.

You can reuse it for other posts, you know. Think of the possibilities!

But DAMN I’m sorry you are hurting so bad! You are in my thoughts, even though I don’t tweet at you much.

  17. Dave2 says:

Ummm… yeah… this is already a re-use from December 2006 or something like that.

Modified to be a little different, but the same.

And don’t worry, the next time I have need of a monkey looking down my pants, I’m sure you’ll be seeing it again. 🙂

  18. Fuck! And I was hoping for a good stoner story from this post. Eek. You poor guy.

  19. Krissi says:

Ugh. I wouldn’t wish ANY type of kidney problems on anyone. Especially not after 4 years of kidney failure – bleck.

    Hoping you feel better, soon.

Krissi (official lurker of your blog)

  20. Somebody needs to invent some sort of non-lethal Drain-O to clear those suckers out faster. I’m so sorry to hear that you’re still suffering. 🙁

  21. deatheather says:

    I not understand the image.
