Broked

Posted on Tuesday, February 5th, 2008

Dave!Something is broked and I can't get today's entry to post. Comments still work just fine, so I have no idea what's going on. Looks like I get to hand-code stuff today, and have a new project for tomorrow morning. Goody.

Blog Broked

This Tuesday has not been so super for me.

Oh wow a bad monkey test card! I am super jealous.
Hope you fix it soon, but don’t rush, bad monkey is doing a fine job ;o)

  2. B. M. Lee says:

Wait! If you can’t post today, then how did you post this one? I sense a conspiracy.

  3. Lisa says:

    That damn monkey!!!

  4. Love the monkey wrench. There might be a big glitch with the blog-niverse these days, every other comments and blogs are all kinda jammed or sum’thin… Have fun on your new project!

  5. Dave2 says:

Penelope… Bad Monkey’s idea of fixing something is to beat it with a wrench. I now have dents in my MacBook Pro.

B.M. Lee… I manually entered the text into the database and forced a re-build. This is not easy. For some reason my entries will not post from my blogging client or directly from the blogging web interface.

Lisa… No doubt. Right now he is painting my toaster with peanut butter because he’s bored.

CuriosityKiller… Really? I thought it was just me. I don’t think I did anything to cause it, so this is a big mystery and a total bummer.

  6. Avitable says:

    I feel ya.

    Well, not literally.

  7. Lewis says:

Bad monkey. Bad bad monkey. Broked like as in Brokedbacked Mountain?

  8. bogup says:

    BM’s next tool, a large ball-peen hammer.
    Look out!

  9. Karl says:

Ack, no posting from Dave? Smack that monkey upside the head!

  10. My blog went on the fritz on Tuesday, also. Must be something in the air. I managed to lock myself out of the administration side completely. Hope you figure your issue out with less frustration than I experienced in troubleshooting mine.

  11. Dustin says:

    Your monkey broke your blog.

    Funny on so many levels.

  12. Bec says:

Broked Blog? Have an entire broked website. Sympathies!

  13. Dave2 says:

Avitable… That’s only because I’m in Washington and you’re all the way across the country in Florida. If I were local, I have no doubt you’d be feeling me literally.

    Lewis… Brokeback Monkey!

Bogup… Or a jackhammer. The little bastard has a tool arsenal, I’m telling you.

Karl… That would only encourage him. Instead I’ve promised him a fifth of Jack Daniels if he can fix things back to how they were. Now THAT’S motivation!

Bombshell… I’m guessing it has something to do with a database setting for my editor. Fortunately, I know somebody who can understand what that actually means, and will hopefully be able to help me tonight.

Dustin… He may be a bad little monkey, but he has enough evidence to blackmail me into the next century, so I deal with the situation the best I can. It’s a lot harder than you’d think to get a monkey off your back!

Bec… I hate it when that happens! The last time my entire site broked, it stayed that way for a week! 🙁

  14. Avitable says:

    Well, of course!

  15. kapgar says:

    Love the overalls!
