Suitcase

Posted on Saturday, August 18th, 2007

Dave!I like to travel light.

Even for a two-week trip, I'll just take a single small suitcase and have my clothes washed at hotels along the way. Unfortunately, my upcoming trip has me bouncing all over the place, so I won't be anywhere long enough for laundry service. This means I'll be taking my big-ass suitcase, which I really don't like at all. There's nothing quite like dragging around a pile of dirty clothes with you wherever you go (thank heavens for zipper baggies!).

In better news... one week left to go...

Blargh. As I head off to bed now, I just realized that I have to get up in 3 hours so I can have time to finish my work and drive to the airport for my flight.

That kind of blows.

What really blows for me is that I’ll be going thru Chicago twice in the next 3 days, which means I won’t be able to come right back for Davecago 2007. Sumbitch. I’ll get my name on your “bloggers I’ve met” list yet damnit!

  2. Laurence says:

I like to travel light too ! 🙂
I am a big fan of BadMonkey and your “badge” (I don’t know if it is the right word) !!!

  3. Göran says:

Zip bags rules! “Suitcase cologne” sucks big time!

    Have fun in Chicago

  4. Bre says:

I’m a perpetual overpacker – I’m amazed you can fit your life into just one suitcase!!

  5. Avitable says:

    Have a safe flight.

    Big Suitcase = Evil
Davecago 2007 = The Force that kills all Evil

    I don’t see a problem…

  7. Lewis says:

I’m a light packing boy, myself (that didn’t sound quite right ….but oh well). Can’t stand carrying crap around. I see you’ve switched to a latino-hispanic influence for your next trip….what exactly is Dav Ecago……sounds like something with mojitos, salsa, tortillas, and a nice sandy beach.
(PS…my pulse still quickens slightly when you say “it blows.” There…..I’m better now.)

  8. Tracy says:

    So Bad Monkey isn’t vegetarian???

  9. Brandi says:

I’m so glad they made small and mighty detergents. Great for traveling light for many days. Have a great trip m’kay?!

  10. apricoco says:

Damn… Why couldn’t my trip to Chicago have coincided with yours? I was hoping to move my Dave Number from 8 to 2… I want to be someone who has actually “touched” Dave.

    Have a safe trip.

  11. Mooselet says:

    Mmmmmmm…. pepperoni pizza.

  12. Peace says:

I never like to pay the crazy hotel laundry prices, I just pack ziplocs of powder detergent and a roll of quarters and do it myself at a local laundromat. I actually fondly recall the laundromat in Hershey, PA. Only took a couple of hours, and I got to meet the locals.

  13. bogup says:

Safe flights and will look forward to the reports and pics.
Pepperoni for BM, eh? He’s such a devil.

  14. kapgar says:

    I’m stoked. Seriously stoked.
