Well, I’m spending the next three hours at the movies watching Spider-man 3, and then I’m going to relax at work, so I can’t empathize at all.

  2. Dave H says:

Jeez! 18 hours!? Where you heading?

  3. Firda says:

18 hours, eh? Are you flying to Indonesia? I spent 21 hours on a plane on my last trip to Canada from Indonesia. It was fun. NOT! I do sympathise.

  4. Lewis says:

So, where are you headed? Damn. I was going to be in the Seattle airport around 2pm today…looks like we just missed. Now, you need to get a better camera for those naughty nipple shots. (Remember Elaine on Seinfeld when her Christmas cards went out with the nipple showing….tee hee)

  5. Lisa says:

    Blech! Where ya headed?

  6. Walt says:

    Dave:

Have you ever thought about creating a video game using Little Dave? I think it would be great. I picture it as a cross between the Sims and Grand Theft Auto. The game could have two modes GOOD and EVIL. On the good side, single player, you would be Little Dave going through the day trying to keep Bad Monkey from taking over the town and the world. The more you ignored him the bigger and more powerful he becomes. But watch out he’s not the only threat in Dave’s life. The world is full of left lane hogging drivers, big-mouthed bitches, annoying kids, and stupid people all trying to pull him away from saving the world. As you move through the day beware of traps, bad food, and crazy people, as they will suck the live out of you. When the day turns to night Little Dave dreams and is thrust into the dream world of Davetopia. As the ruler you must keep things in order but beware, Bad Monkey can creep in and take over there too.

In EVIL mode the player could be bad monkey, evil clown, Dead Doll Baby Whores, and more attempting to defeat Little Dave as his day goes on.

Levels open as Little Dave travels the globe seeking out good eats and his favorite soda drink. In free mode you can travel the cities and levels, meet people, go on dates (some good, some bad), take tours or go for a drive. You could even push it to the edge by stealing car and pillaging.

On man it sounds fun! I have a two and a half hour commute to work so I’ve spent a couple minutes thinking about it.

  7. Hilly says:

Is this your vacation travel or something else? If it IS the vacation, have fun!!!! If not, erm…email me if you get bored ;).

  8. David D says:

Who does? Unless you’re travelling in a silk-cushion lined cabin of the orient express filled with a harem of beautiful ladies and your own personal valet, I seriously doubt anyone would enjoy travelling for that long…
I may spend an inordinate amount of time at the computer each day (it’s both my work and my play), but it’s long distance flying that gives me leg cramps…

  9. Jeff says:

18 hours? Where are you going – Mongolia?

  10. Troy says:

    You have my pity 🙂

  11. Nancy says:

    I feel your pain.

  12. NYC Watchdog says:

While that is pretty sucky… as long as Herbert is in good hands… everything will be right with the world.

  13. Jill says:

I would rather spend the next 18 hours traveling than having to work tomorrow for 12 hours. Especially since I have spent the last two days hiking around the area with some out-of-town friends. My leg muscles are soooo sore… Tomorrow is going to be a looooooooong day at work. That’s if I’m even able to finish the day at all 🙂 The idea of sitting around airports and in airplanes (I’m assuming that’s what you’ll be doing) for almost a day sounds almost like heaven!

  14. Karl says:

Where are you off to this time, oh Dave?

  15. RW says:

Flying direct to New Delhi are we?

  16. 18 hours? You must be headed some place good!

  17. Laurence says:

    Where are you ?

    WHERE ARE YOU ? 🙂

  18. bogup says:

Long trip, eh? Furthest I’ve gone is Seattle to Australia. For trips like that only business class or first class made it survivable.
It used to be that air travel was tolerable. Not any more given how every flight is filled to cattle car capacity and airports are a living hell. Glad I got the 500k air miles out of my system in the good old days. Is it any wonder that the privileged class (Hollywood stars, business execs, Pelosi, presidential candidates, et al) now enjoy their own jets for travel?
Well notwithstanding the pain, we look forward to hearing about your adventure, esp. the pics that you throw our way. Safe travels!

  19. Iron Fist says:

18 hours? Jeez, globe-trotting Dave. Where ya off to? I can only assume you’re headed to Greece to scale Mt. Olympus and pick up your stock of new Blogography shirts being manufactured on the looms of the gods, since you wouldn’t settle for anything less than top quality T-shirts for your loyal readers.

  20. Dave2 says:

Wow. Iron Fist has it all figured out…

  21. Eve says:

Please tell me what one does during 18 hours of travel time. Though I don’t look forward to doing that much time in one clip, I do expect to one day travel quite far (how far is New Zealand from NYC?). When you get a chance, give us the “18 hour travel routine.” Hugs.
