Veronicazation

Posted on Tuesday, May 9th, 2006

Dave!Um... yeah... what else is there to say about the season finale of Veronica Mars other than HOLY CRAP!!

I did not see that coming. But, just like last year, it all made perfect sense. I watched the episode twice in a row and am still reeling.

The funny thing is that as unbelievable as it all was... it's still perfectly plausible. And so deserving.

How badly do I want a third season now?

WARNING! There's no major spoilage in the comments yet... but I do not have time to edit them out of the comments today, so proceed at your own risk if you have not seen the show.

ALSO: The complete first season set for Veronica Mars is on sale over at Amazon for HALF OFF! Just $29.96 for some of the best television ever! For anybody not watching Veronica, go buy it or rent it now so you can be prepared when the second season set hits in August!

You are soo unfair – i can not even get the 2nd season until August…

I guess i just need to go and find something that i can get in Europe that you can not get….

  2. jodi says:

    i’m guessing SO BADLY!!

but man… couldn’t someone have just smacked that smug sherrif’s face? just once? for me?

  3. karla says:

I’m still waiting, breathlessly and totally impatiently, might I add, for season TWO. I just saw the last ep of season one yesterday. Still collecting bits of jaw from floor.

Damn this expat thing. I have to wait for ALL the good stuff.

  4. Bre says:

I know! If it doesn’t renew I’m going to freak out… I need my weekly Logan fix! 🙂

  5. shannon says:

That ending of VM was awesome. I totally did not see any of it coming. I had to watch it twice also. Would love to talk about it more but I’ll wait, out of respect for those who Tivo’d it and haven’t seen it yet. Cannot. Wait. For. Next. Fall.

  6. jsy says:

seriously – that show is the best. the writing is phenomenal, and as a female viewer, Logan is the perfect bad boy with a heart of gold – awww. it’s one of the only shows that continues to surprise me.

  7. Avitable says:

I will be watching it tonight. I’ve already had the ending spoiled for me, but that will not ruin my enjoyment of this season.

If this show does not get renewed, I may give up television entirely. Fuckin’ networks.

  8. Eve says:

Oh man, I didn’t see it, I didn’t see it yet!!!! I have to catch up in a hurry!

  9. Rob says:

Yes the season end was a good show. I did not see last season but this one was great. Now I just have to ready myself for the season end of 24.

  10. Kevin says:

I still have to finish last week’s episode before I can watch this one. Damn! I need to get cracking!

  11. adena says:

I switched back and forth between VM and House for the first 15 minutes or so, but I was totally clueless about what was going on, because I don’t know the characters at all…and then I got sucked into House. (In retrospect, I shouldn’t have watched House, because it reduced me to a sniveling mess, but that’s another story.)

The writing on VM reminds me a lot of Buffy. VM HERSELF reminds me a lot of Buffy. So, I can understand why Joss likes the hell out of the show. And seeing as how I went through an obsessive Buffy and Angel period, I probably would totally like VM. Is the 1st season out on DVD yet?

  12. Dave2 says:

    Go rent season one immediately!

Then when season two hits in August, you’ll be totally ready. 🙂

  13. Silvertongue says:

Yeah, I completely second the “holy crap.” I didn’t see this coming at all. I have to rewatch when I get a chance later in the week, as I’m sure there are some things I missed while either squealing with delight, hiding my eyes, or yelling at the television.

They have to renew this, right? Did you hear that some fans paid for a plane to fly a VM banner in LA yesterday during rush hour, encouraging the CW to renew the show?

  14. shannon says:

I tivo’d House so I could watch VM and I haven’t watched House yet but thanx Adena, for warning me that I’ll probably need tissues handy. Last week’s episode of House had me in tears..Foreman was pretty phenomenal in that episode.
If the network does not renew VM I will boycott that new CW channel. And burn the production office down. 🙂

  15. adena says:

Fair warning, Shannon….House involves babies. I don’t do well in those situations. Tissues will be needed.

  16. lizriz says:

OK, I will resist the urge to be a spoiler in reply to Jodi’s comment, which begs obvious response.

But I will say – HALLELUJAH, ALL IS RIGHT WITH THE WORLD!!!

And you know, if the CW keeps Gilmore Girls AND Veronica Mars on the same night, they can promote it as “Loganlicious.” OOO – How about some Logan cross over?!?! I’m just saying…

  17. suze says:

Oh veronica mars…I have to wait until August for the DVD until I can catch up on the tiny blonde one’s adventures. however, due to the delightful snark of Television Without Pity and my complete inability to delay gratification, I do know what’s been going on. And all I can say is *sniff*…

  18. claire says:

Last night’s ep blew me away. I had some of it figured out, but there was still so much (which had been set up) that I never saw coming. That’s one of the things I love about VM. I’ve yet to see another show as intricately woven throughout its whole season.

    C’mon season 3!
