Finale

Posted on Tuesday, May 10th, 2005

Dave!So now Veronica Mars is over for the season and all I can say is... wow. I did not see that coming. All in all a very satisfying end to one of the best things to watch on television. And now we have a four-month wait to find out who was at the door. For anybody who missed this most excellent show, a DVD set is being planned for release in early September, hopefully before the debut of Veronica Mars season two.

In the meanwhile, we've still got the finale of Grey's Anatomy to look forward to. Along with 24, CSI, Lost, and Scrubs. I still have no idea what has happened to Eyes (yet another great show destroyed by the asshats at ABC who keep preempting it... and have probably canceled it). Not a bad year for television.

Now I want pie.

  1. I am so not a TV person… Anyway.

I was just poking in your FAQ and your story about your decision to grow a beard reminded me of an old family story I thought I’d share with you: My uncle Steve was drunk to begin with. That’s when he got down on the floor and decided to tease the German Shepherd. Now I don’t know anyone who would mess with a German Shepherd sober, but like I said – Uncle Steve was drunk to begin with. The Shepherd decided he didn’t like being teased and damn near bit my uncle’s lip off. They sewed the lip up but the scar.. Crowe men don’t grow facial hair easily but for the last twenty-five years or so, my uncle has had the finest mustache I’ve ever seen in real life.

This is a story with several morals:
    1. Don’t get so f-ing drunk, Steve.
    2. Maybe German Shepherds aren’t for everyone.
    3. Kachina shouldn’t be allowed to tell anecdotes ever because it will be really long and pointless.

    Peace,
    Me

I hope you are not forgetting Alias, which is starting to get better!

  3. Dave2 says:

    Poor Uncle Steve!

Alias is driving me nuts. There has been maybe three episodes that I’ve enjoyed this season. The last was Marshall with the spork… this whole “Jack is sick” storyline sucks major ass.

  4. Silvertongue says:

OK, Dave, I’m dying to know – when you watched last week’s episode of Veronica Mars, you thought you had figured out who the killer was, and mentioned something like, “Now the only question is, who else knew she did it?” What was your guess as to who the killer was?

I’m glad you liked the episode – I did too. And I, too, am much too old to be all gooey about Logan and Veronica…but still am.

Love your blog…keep it up, I need to read something intelligent and interesting so my brain doesn’t turn to mush from 8:30 – 5 every weekday!

  5. Dave2 says:

Oh I absolutely thought it was going to be Lilly’s mother. Maybe not her personally, but her hiring somebody to kill Veronica because she thought Veronica was heir to the Kane fortune AND Duncan’s forbidden sister/girlfriend. And since Veronica and Lilly look so similar with that long blonde hair, I thought Lilly was killed accidentally in a mistaken identity thing. Celeste Kane is so evil, that it all worked for me.

The killer they used was MUCH better. Lilly was one messed up girl!

  6. Silvertongue says:

I thought the same thing until I saw the cameras in the next-to-last episode…then I decided they couldn’t be Logan’s, and one thought led to another. I was still surprised, though – I’m never right when I guess who the killer is, so it was nice to finally to at least be on the right track about it!

Ugh, four more months until Season 2 – I just hope they keep the same writers and the quality doesn’t suffer, like many shows that go throught the “sophomore slump”…

  7. MRKisThatKid says:

Haha, i have to download em so i’m on a 24 to 48 hour delay, this post hovered into view whilst scrolling through my feeds, my gut reaction was “arrrrgh dave’s gonna spoil the episode for me again!” And closed the browser. Turns out you didn’t anyway but ah well. So glad you turned me onto the show though, that episode alone made the season worth while.

To be honest, i prefer her being wit Duncan rather than Logan. Logan’s hot and i’d prefer him to be single so he can finally discover his true sexuality. Yeah, in my head the show has a slightly different plot. Besides, whoever plays logan plays the role best when he has a vendetta.

Oh and it was me at the door stupid. She was totally looking at me! Now how do i let her down gently?

  8. Malora says:

Hey, a Veronica Mars and Grey’s Anatomy fan! I’m into VM but don’t enjoy GA, while my best friend loves GA but has never tried to watch VM! Maybe you can convince us to resolve our differences, ha ha.

Anyway, VM was the best show on this season, from pilot to finale. I’m so glad I caught this show from the first episode, and that it’ll be back next season.

I came across your site randomly. You watch a lot of the same shows I do. Awesome! Just wanted to say hi!
