Totally!

Posted on Monday, November 14th, 2005

Dave! And so Cavan writes to me and says "Dude, I am totally going to start interviewing popular bloggers!" And I am like "Dude, that is so cool!" And Cavan is all "I know! And I totally want you to be my first interview!" And I am like "Dude, I am so totally NOT a popular blogger!" And Cavan says "Dude, you so totally are! You've got over 100 links on Technorati!" And I am all "No way!" And Cavan is "Way!" And then I go "Dude, I so totally AM a popular blogger!" And then Cavan goes "For reals!" And then I am all "OMG! Dude, you so totally have to interview me now!" And he is all "I know!"

Well, maybe it didn't go exactly like that. I have a bad memory and have been reading way too many MSN Spaces blogs. But he did interview me, and you can read it over at Cavan's The Blurred Line Blog.

To answer your question about where your readers come from. I came to read your blog because of free stuff. Neil T. posted an entry about your 1st anniversary giveaways, I came here and sent you email after email. Even after I won something I stuck around. I someday hope to be you, not in a stalker type of way (i.e. wearing your skin over my skin), but in a blogging way (i.e. enjoyable well-thoughout articles).

  2. Cavan says:

OMG! Dude, it so totally WAS like that!

  3. Dave2 says:

    Dude! I know!

And Troy, Firda made your blog one of the best-looking in the entire blogosphere… so it is I who am wanting to wear YOUR skin and be YOU (well, your BLOG skin, anyways!).

  4. HAHAHAHAHA! You are like, so TOTALLY popular… Way! PS: I wish those MSN spaces blogs were easier to comment.

Come on now, there’s nothing wrong with dude. I luv a good dude in the morning. It’s evening. I’m in a strange mood.
I originally found dave2 via neil as well. What is with that guy? I mean that dude. I swear he gets everywhere.

  6. it always amazes me when i see people link to me and come back after an intial reading.

  7. Neil says:

Before I read this interview, I’m wondering if I learn too much about you, would I want to CONTINUE reading your blog?

  8. Neil says:

Just read the interview. Interesting… and you seem like a decent enough guy. But can you please email me on those days you choose to write about you Macintosh Computer, so I don’t even bother to click your link.

  9. Dave2 says:

Neil Turner is the secret link that keeps the blogosphere together. If “Neil’s World” were to disappear, I fear that the entire blogosphere would implode.

  10. kazza says:

Yeah Cavan should interview Neil next .. half the people whose blogs I read also read his 🙂

  11. Alessandra says:

I think all your fans should email E! and request a E!THS… or (duh!) Biography Channel! Then soon I’ll be making millions selling my Monkey t-shirt on eBay!! If I could ever say good-bye to my Monkey…

  12. jenny says:

Great interview, Dave! And I definitely agree – the interaction that happens through comments is often my favorite part of blogging. I think the comments people post on my site are often a lot funnier than what I actually write, and I love the community-building aspect of it. Crazy things, these blogs.

  13. trixie says:

i chanced on your blog completely by accident.. one day i was doing an image search on yahoo using the word ‘moron’. the picture of the guy trying to cut in front of you when driving(this was really long ago; think it was from last year) came up, i thought it was interesting, i clicked it, and the rest was history. 🙂

by the way, the sardines they use in a sardine sandwich here is canned sardines. so its not so much of little fish on bread, its more of mushed up little fish on bread. cheers.

  14. Belinda says:

Dude…Yeah-HUH you are popular. I never posted my boobs on the internet before you. You have a Svengali-like power. I hope you won’t abuse it now that you know of your WAY popular popularity.

  15. Dave2 says:

People are finding my blog by doing a Yahoo! search for “moron.”

    My life is now complete.

  16. michaelsean says:

ryc: Dude. I would notice. And be quite pissed. Your shit is original, fun, and worth the read. Truly. I am so sick of idiot bloggers talking politics or thinking they are the next farker. You’re the shit.

  17. sandra says:

And then I’m all, “oh my GAWDDDD, Dave is SO the freaking bomb!” And you’re all modest and shit…

  18. Fence says:

I came here from the Blurred Line Blog interview, a clear example of fame begetting even more fame?

  19. Dave2 says:

Hey, wait a second… what’s a sure-fire way to make your blog more popular?

Hold an “interview” with the so-called “popular” bloggers so that they will link to your blog, thus making you more popular!!

That Cavan is a genius! A GENIUS I SAY!!
